Update on "my" TurboII (Ted, etc)
Well, I unplugged the TPS and drove it around. Still idles on one rotor and is VERY VERY hard to start. But, it ran to redline without a problem so the TPS was too far from spec for sure.
I tried to do a compression test but the digitial tester fails. My guess is because the starter isn't turning the motor over at the proper speed, sounds like the battery is just dying.
I was going to move on to the fuel issues this weekend.......
... but after parking it for a bit and attempting the compression test we noticed a large puddle of coolant on the ground. bah. leaking from the radiator.
So tonight was an expensive night.
1 fluidyne radiator
1 walbro pump
1 haltech e6k
a bunch of fluids...
:o that 3k is departing quick. bah.
going to send the injectors out to get cleaned.. I wish I could just upgrade to 1600cc injectors now but even with the haltech I can't see those working with the otherwise pretty much stock motor :P (could be wrong though  )

timing is set up? I had to use ATF a few times. Also, try new plugs. I tried for 3 days to get mine to start; changed the oil and plugs, put some ATF in, and when it started, got it to 2K and held it around there until it could idle at 1500.

I don't see why you'd have major problems going with the 1600's now. If anything popped up, there are more than a few things you can do to get your fuel requirements up there where you'd need to work them more.
GOOD compression diagnosis, first. Ran to redline without a problem, as in full power/both rotors going but not at idle?

So are you sure the rear rotor has compression? If not, time for some new apex seals.
Since I last checked the compression it has been driven.. hmm.. 10 miles probably.

any vacuum leaks will make it hard to start.
