Update, 87 TII, Engine froze, Update
A couple weeks ago I posted that my 72,000 mi. Turbo II was frozen tight! Well I was sure it was Carbon locked, and through the advice of the members it now turns freely. It has been soaking all this time in a combination of Seafoam and ATF. I tried every couple of days to turn it with a breaker bar in reverse rotation, but it wouldn`t move, Just today a freind came by, and we pushed it up the driveway about 50 yards and he pushed me backwards and in 4th gear I popped the clutch and I heard it break free. We then pushed it back into the garage and I put the breaker bar on it , but it still wouldn`t make a full revolution, about 2/3 one way and 2/3 the other. No squeaks or noises other than compresion, I put a bunch of MMO in it and kept turning it back and forth and it seemed to go farther every time, finally I was able to make a full revolution but it still had a little resistance in one spot. More MMO and kept turning it over, now I can turn it all the way around by hand with the belts. I`m going to keep letting it soak with the mmo and turning it a little and more mmo for a few days before I try to start it again.
I`m so jacked I can`t stand myself, I know I`m not out of the water yet, but I`m on my way if the apex seals wern`t damaged. No noticable sounds though like sqeaking or anything!
Thanks guy`s you are the greatest!

Uh, that's not good.
I went through the exact same scenario two years ago when installing a motor that had sat unused for a long time.
I'll bet dollars to donuts that the "break free" you heard was an apex seal breaking.
NEVER try to force a seized motor to turn...

Honestly, it never made any noise other than just freeing up, I guess I won`t know untill I take a compression test and try to start it, but the way it finally freed up with the mmo a little at a time makes me think it`s going to be OK, We will see!!

So why would you say that you think it is the apex seal broken? Obviously we will see, when the engine acted like it did? Only went so far, then farther, more oil, then farther, then more oil and then all the way around, more oil, then finnally smooth. When it was almost spinning all the way around it felt just like there was some gunk barely stopping it, and then it seemed to wash out! Do you know something I do not??? Sure felt like gunk to me as I was turning it, never felt solid or made any metalic sounds or squeaking. It`s as smooth as a babys butt now, like I said, I can spin it by hand!

I said I *believe* that it was a seal breaking. I can't see your motor from here and I'm going by your post...
We were trying to turn the motor with a breaker bar when it happened. There was a little travel, then a little more, then it stopped, then a tiny but sharp *ping* and it started moving again.
And it was fucked.
Saying that you heard it "break free" makes it sound like there was a single, distinct noise (at least, that's how I read it.) What was the sound you heard, then?

When you say you can turn it all the way around by hand, do you actually mean with the breaker bar? If you can actually turn the motor by hand...that's probably not good.

A healthy rotary can be cranked by hand at the main pulley. It's even easier with the plugs out. It's when you can't turn it by hand that you should start to worry.
