Unknown Part

Hey, getting the final parts put back on to my engine after dropping it in and came across a part that for the life of me can not see where it goes.

Here are some pics and sorry not the best quality.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Mike

that is your sub zero cold start assist, make a block off plate and chuck it in the garbage, it does absolutely nothing and mazda even has a TSB to get rid of it. there is a white bottle under the cruise control servo behind the right strut tower, chuck that as well and call it weight reduction!

it is located on the lower intake manifold btw, if you didn't know that already.

Ok well thats good that its not need but could lead to another problem

The motor I dropped in is a jspec engine which had me replacing just about every part on that motor with my old engine parts.

Well the lower intake mani is still the jspec and I dont remember seeing a hook up at all on there for that. So is there anything else that is important enough to be swapping the LIM's out or is it just perfect so I dont have those hookups now?

Thanks for the help guys

Mike

should be easier with the jspec since you won't have to block it off, i think they started omitting the sub zero system in 88.
