uninstall thermal wax pellet?

i'm in the "process" of changing out my thermal wax pellet but i haven't gotten very far cause i'm clueless how to take off the whole shabang. i've searched around but haven't found anything really useful to help me in my quest. can someone give me a few pointers? i have an s5 n/a motor. any help would be appreciated

i think he means the thermowax that controls the secondary throttle plates during warmup, on back of the TB

t-stat? well i know its in the back of the throttle body area...i've gotten a few of the screws out but i'm still far from removing it

just remove the whole TB and disconnect the coolant lines and throttle cable. Then you can easily remove it.
