maybe i might be calling them somthing different or perhaps i should have better explaind myself. the universal adjustable springs you can get and choose the hight you want to drop the car, so i guess in turn they would really be universal adjustable lowering springs than coil overs. my question is has anyone ever try'd to put them on an fc to lower it ?

If your reffering to the numerous cheap generic coil overs on eBay, they are absolute GARBAGE. Stick to Ground Controls or full coilovers.

^agree, stay away from MK1 or any generic ebay crap... if you want to convert your suspension into coilovers, look to Ground Controls. They are built very well and comes with eibach coil springs. Very simple to install on an FC, this is what i am planning to do with my AGX's adjustable struts...

Oh and sorry for not answering your question before... yes people has installed this these set ups on their FC's before, there is a guy that was helping me out with some questions about them, i cant remember is name on the forum... just search "Ground Control"

ive installed the cheapy mk1 "moohkee" or wutever coilovers on my gfs s4 base model just to upgrade from cut springs...got em for sumwhere around less then 200 bux on ebay....we paired them with tokico hps all around and some cusco pillowball mounts up front that we got from a friend for like 20 bux....

now i dont know how the ground control coilovers feel myself, but for the price, these cheap coilovers do their job. its a bit on the stiff side, not so much bouncy but stiff...we didnt set the ride height all the way down, just enough to lower about an 1 inch all around...spent about 2hrs just getting the height equal on fronts and rears...install was pretty straight forward...

now if youre looking for all star performance, dont look cheap obviously...if youre looking for something that will hold you over until u get something awesomely great, than this is the way to go...if u do decide to get something like these...get some good struts that can handle the lowered ride height...good struts will make all the difference any time u lower a car..
