unflooding= black oily stuff

I'm having some trouble starting my car. The engine rotates, but will not start. It spins faster then usually so I'm guessing that it's flooded along with the plugs coming out wet (top and bottom ones). I've been doing the egi trick a couple times now with the plugs out and the oily suute keeps coming out. How many times do I have to do this before the will be none coming out of the plug holes? I just picked up some plugs yesterday so I'm hoping this will do the trick but I do not want to foul them by not unflooding it enough. The engine has stong pulses when it turns over (more than my other engine did that ran perfect). Do you think it could just be flooded? I tested the wires and they all fired when out of the engine.

Thats kind of what happened to me. Does the stuff kind of smell like paint thinner?

I just put some 2stroke in the leading plug holes, then plugged everything back in and cranked it until it started. It was rough at first, and smoked a fair amount, but after a while it smoothed back to normal. Then i put in new plugs and got changed my oil soon after

It smelled like gas and oil, I'd wipe the plug holes clean, crank it over and they'd have oil/gas in 'em not to mention the dots all over the towel I used for the engine bay. It's a jdm engine so it's prob been sitting for ever, I'm gonna try and let some atf sit on my seals for a couple hours. Will oil do just as good for unsticking the seals as atf, I'd rather use oil :/

the 2stroke just restores the lost compression that flooding has caused due to it being thicker and higher burning temp. About 2 tablespoons in each should be just fine, and make sure your battery is top shape.
i'd never run atf through my engine.

I'm pretty sure it's unflooded, it spins at normal speed again and the little bit of oil that comes out doesnt smell like gas. Now I am not getting any spark though, could something in the front cover have messed up to make my cas not work? The tach does bounce alittle when tring to start, is that a good sign?

no spark with the new plugs even now? no idea about that... sounds wierd for it to just stop, maybe someone else can bring more light to that problem.
but yeah the tach bouncing a little is normal.

Are your "plugs" firing??? while the plug is still plugged into the wire, lay it on the middle iron to ground it. See if the plug actually sparks. If you don't see a spark thne your problem is elsewhere.

The black sludge is probably assembly lube squirted in by the guy that pulled the engine.

Yeah the new plugs aren't firing. I'm gonna check the timing then pull the cas if I have to.
