under the glass headlights

I am in between ideas of the vented headlight cover or the under the glass setup. I have seen a couple members here that have the under the glass mod my question is what headlight is close to drop in without too much fabrication. Someone told me a 88-89 chevy blazer is almost a drop in but that sounds like it doesnt sound right to me

he's talking about the FC2000 light kit.

it takes a bit of fabrication, there is no easy way to do a full light conversion.

The easiest way is to check out www.rotaryextreme.com and buy his replica FC2000 front end.

But you could fabricate one yourself. Don't count on it being easy or being done quickly.

a conventional headlight is what i mean when I say "under the glass" that is what we have always referred to them as when ordering the kits for older corvettes, you know the other kind besides pop up. Doesnt take a rotary engineer to figure that out use your head and you would be surprised what you can do. thanx karack and boosted rex.

I call them flush headlights. I want to find a kit that doesn't use round lamps but rather square or rectangular ones, I think that would be in better taste and keep with the geometry of the car. Besides the wheels, there aren't many circles on an FC, especially S4.

sleekness (looks)
less weight
AND the use of HID lighting or at least projector style lighting provides a much better beam pattern, modern look and function and a cleaner/brighter light... thats better for safety!

Too bad they're not the legal height. Just stick proper HIDs with cutoffs into a proper (Raybrig) H4 housing and be done with it. Cleaner/brigher light, and within the legal height limit. One less thing to get a ticket for.

same here, depends on my mood, the time of day, alignment of the moons and whether it is a clear day or not.

i just think they are more sleek looking I admit I do like the popups but they just dont look like a clean finish on the front of the car.....another reason is for aerodynamic I have heard but that is not my opinion before everyone starts flaming again
