I was going to have one machined from aluminum. Just a solid block of alum, tapped for studs, and will be a direct bolt-in replacement for the stock rubber one. Should I check into a group buy?

Don't laugh but a friend of mine did one out of a block of wood and it's still holding. 3 yrs later........ it runs 13's ....I think that would be the cheapest option. The USS Constitution is made out of wood and it's over 200 years old.

Well, its looking like I wont need them any time soon. I simply do not get wheel hop. I can drop my clutch at 5K, bounce off the rev limiter in 1st until I catch traction, and still dont get hop.
