U-Joint longevity on 2nd gen.
generally 160-180k depending if the car was ragged out or not they do not have non replacable u joints either so you can get another stock driveshaft for about 400 at mazda or an aftermarket with replaceable u joints for about the same price

Unfortunately, there's not much you can do to maintain the stock U-joints. There are no grease fittings, and they are non-replacable. Best bet is to get an aftermarket shaft with a good set of joins...
