I'd say its close, the S5 motor does make more hp stock. I think alot will depend on the driver.

 

ajajjajajja, my brother (86 with s5) is bad driver :P and i drive better :P (87 with s4)

 

the 86 base is lighter but at 15lbs he will blow his motor with stock injectors. So I guess the GXL

i am going to go with the gxl cause it has more mods and fuel mods also.
