Two Unrelated but Good Questions
Car: 1990 FC Vert NA
Firstly, I'm on a high school budget, and I want some lowering springs. I can save up so no rush but what are the bang for the buck lowering springs? Looking for at least one inch drop
Next, I drive my baby hard sometimes. At about 7000 rpm and higher the car really starts vibrating but doesn't seem to lose any power. Is that normal?
Thanks in advance.

First, you can cut your stock springs or buy some used racing beat springs.
second, is this vehicle speed related or engine speed related. The way you wrote it make me think it is engine speed related.
If it is engine speed related, take off your stock plastic fan (put the bolts back in the pulley) and go drive it around for a few short minutes. If teh vibration is gone, it is the fan (my car does this right now).
If it is vehicle speed related, check out your driveshaft. If you lose a u joint, it can take out your transmission too.

tanabe springs are always a decent option, the drop they give will however blow out your stock shocks in no time, this will probably be the case with any lowering spring. You will also miss out on a lot of performance from them with the stock pieces.

keep your eye open for a set of tanabe, RB, or eibach springs, they were only $220ish new, so by the law of FC pricing they should be like $22 used.

Unless your engine is ported you won't make any additional power above 7k. instead of causing excess wear and running into vibration issues, shift with the rpm buzzer and stay in the power band. If you get vibrations in the 3k area you probably have bad engine mounts.

Yeah it doesn't start until after 7k. Sometimes it seems like I get faster overall acceleration if I consistently shift at 6k though. Maybe its all in my head
