Twin Turbo FC?
Hay all,
I am in the process of a turbo swap on my convertible. I was planning on a straight forward TII conversion from a donor car. However, my friend recently aquired a Garrett single set-up for his FD. Now he has a recently freshened factory twin set up that he will give to me. Seariously.
I am not looking to make tons of power. Just more then what I have now. And the sequential set-up has a more linear power curve for the all important drivability factor.
Now, I know that space in the engine bay is at a premium. And I know that I would have to go with a PowerFC or something of the like. What I need to know is: Is it possible to run FD turbos on a TII engine? And what are the drawbacks?
Thanks, Jesse

I have cosmo twins in my FC. because they came with the 13bre engine, and I can't afford to replace them with a single right now. The twins are a really bad idea. The idea of actually using them sequentially would be next to impossible, and non sequentially they build boost real slow even with a very free flowing exhaust. It will be the first major thing I change when I have the money and time.

Thanks to those who responded politely. I will continue to "re"search the subjec"ted" topic, as was so eloquently advised.
I am working on a tight budget, and if I can use the parts I have at my disposal, I will.

Why do you even waste your time posting **** like this? In the time it took to post it, you could have done something useful, like rub one out so we don't have to worry about you procreating.

If it bothers him that much don't read it, the title says it all, don't even have to open it, sure he's right, but it's really counter productive. People can learn without having someone be an ******* to them.

My first sentence was it was a waste of time.
The other two were suggestions on what to do - subject covered...do a search.
Compared to your derogatory reply which did nothing to help the original poster.
Pot calling the kettle black?
**** it, your bullshit is ignored from now on.

Well put Ted
.
You can expect a 4-5k rpm spool up with non-sequential FD twins. Sure, it makes the engine bay simpler...but on stock ports, it's just amazingly slow. Watch the 3rd gen section for a while, people are always complaining about the extremely shitty spool-up.
And, to have to custom fab a downpipe, manifold, intake, etc...it's just not worth it at all.
Oh and..you were going to do this instead of a turbo swap? These will make 50% more HP then a stock T2 turbo, so your NA drivetrain would get MASSACRED in very short notice. DO the T2 swap.
