need help so i can get this done today.... my car starts jerking and bam shut off. so had chained it to my friends car and brought it home. so when we get home it started i'm like WTF. so i let it warm up around the block. then i floor it and the car starts to jerk like not getting gas. shuts off. so i'm thinking its either the fuel filter or the fuel pump???????? someone help please!!!!!!!!!!!!

 

Ditto my car is having the same problem right now.. heeh thats weird you could try checking the AFM and also check for vacum leaks... thats what im in the middle of doing. Goodluck

 

Would a bad fuel pump relay cause that to happen? That's what was wrong with my MX-6 when I had the same symptoms. I ended up getting screwed by Firestone and got a new fuel pump to the tune of $450 out of the deal.
