Turning a stock passenger seat into a drivers seat...
My stock leather drivers seat is trashed, just like any other 14 year old leather FC drivers seat.
I'm going to try to find a stock blue seat, and was wondering how difficult it would be to make a passenger seat into a drivers seat. Would it be as simple as unbolting the rails and bolting the appropriate set onto the seat I want to use?

What might be easier, is just swapping the seat cushion and back rest onto the driver seat lower frame. The lower seat cushion is only held on by hog rings and the back section is held on by just a single nut.
Then you don't have to worry about un-bolting the rtacks and re-aligning everything.

I'm trying to clean up my car a little bit at a time. The end goal is to have a turbo engine under the hood. But the engine that's in it runs fine so I'm going to focus on other things for the time being. After the top gets replaced the suspension is next.

yeah, I have done that same thing a couple of times when the driver seat starts looking old.
There are some minor hole differences at the seat back and levers, but its very minor and you don't see the holes when you have the seat trim on.

Looks like I'll get to keep the stock seats in it after all. ...well, this is assuming that I can find a blue leather seat for a reasonable price.
