turn signal problem

turn signal problem

as i drive and use my turn signal, usually the turn signal will turn off automatically once u make that turn but mind it just stays on until u unclick it your self...does anybody know whats wrong...this happend after i took the switches off tryhing to repaint them black. and when i got them back on there, they dont turn off automatically anymore...

As I recall, the steering wheel must be installed in a specific position on the steering column for the turn signal cancel gizmo to work. Have you removed the steering wheel lately? If so, remove it and reinstall it in the correct position. If you look at the undeside of the steering wheel you will see what I mean.

i havent taken the steering wheel out...all i took apart was the turn signal switches...then that happened

First check your TURN fuse. If that's not the problem check your turn cancel and angle sensor.
