Turboing an 88 NA motor

I have a couple rx7s, 88 NA and 87 T2. The 87 has bad coolant seals and I'd rather not rebuild the motor right now. Can I just swap the NA motor into my T2 body and use the turbo parts off the T2?

Are the internals different on the NA? Also, would it be a straight bolt in or will there need to be anything custom done?

TII motor has 4 intake ports and 8.7:1 rotors, whereas NA motor has 6 ports and 9.4:1 rotors. I know it can be done, just look at aaroncake's setup. You will most likely need an rtek2.1 or something similar to retard the timing since you'll be running high compression rotors. I'm sure there's more that would need to be done, but I'm not proficient in the na-Turbo field.

Thanks for the info! I browsed over his site very quickly this morning and figured that was the deal. Guess I'll just save and rebuild the engine.

according to the 1000's of threads it appears that it CAN be done.

The FIRST thing that you would have to do though is Read the Threads that are ALREADY Posted.
