i am new to the rx-7's and i was wondering does the factory turbo need to be rebuilt when the motor is rebuilt? or does it stay in good condition for awhile?

 

it will need to be rebuilt some time, how many miles are on it?
and does it still move freely with no shaft play?

 

Well if it is the original turbo and you have put enought miles on it that the motor went, it prolly would not be a bad idea if you have just some extra $$ laying around. Otherwise run it till it pukes. It would be nice to start out with a fresh turbo and motor. Then you could always do like a BNR upgrade
