Turbo Upgrade

I have a T2 and planning to upgrade my turbo
Anyone has experience with this sort of upgrade??

T04S, T66, or even a T70???

Also, could anyone recommend the best set-up for turbo ugrades (i.e. type of intercooler, injectors size, fuel system)

Also, the approximate cost of this kind of project?

I had always like the T2... but now I am contemplating getting a 3rd gen... however, given the horror stories I've heard relating to 3rd gen 7s (a buddy of mine had one.. got rid of it before I was into RX 7s) and the escalating prices one these rare gems... I am not sure if its worth the money right now. Considering my friend sold his 3 years ago for a little below $20K and NOW the cheapest one in the Toronto area is around the $20K and above range.

Comments anyone?

Last question (s)

The RX 8 is coming out... do you think it may drive down the prices of the current 3rd gen??

Rumours has it that Mazda will re-introduce the RX 7 subsequent to the release of the RX 8. With a turbo version of the Renesis Rotary. Actually Mazdaspeed via Mazda USA is releasing a turbo version of the Protege later on this year... so it seems a possibility to me

Add this to the cost of the turbo you decide on:

-1600 cc Secondaries 720 Primaries
-Haltech or other full blown ECU (no piggies!)
-Turbo manifold (250-600)
-Custom oil lines
-Cooling lines
-New Downpipe
-FMIC
-Wastegate
-IC plumbing

Theres a short list...if i'm missing stuff, feel free to contribute...I'm busy at work with 3 server crashes...and I need registry software from some kiwi's in New Zealand.

Just thought about it, but you'll need a bigger fuel rail for the 1600's as well....

Fuel pump too.

I think the turbo application depends what you want from the car..max hp? very fast spool up, etc, etc.
