Well with any upgrade you will probably need some 720cc secondaries at least so count those in there($220 for 2) and definitely will need a bigger pump(walbro $100). BNR can do some great upgrades but you might want to look around locally as well.

You thinking of going new turbo altogether or maybe snagging an s5 and upgrading/rebiulding?
I have an s5 mani and turbo in my closet with a bit of shaft play. I am going to probably send to turbonetics for upgrade and rebuild. Only problem is.. I have no clue on the different kinds.. LOL
Keep us update on what you decide.

get the neccessary fuel system upgrades and then check ebay and thepartstrader.com for some T04Bs or TO4Es or even a T-60 series. For $300-450 you can get a nice turbo. I just bought a TO4B for $230

Are you talking hybrid or a whole nother turbo? Because with a totally different turbo the cost will go up. You will need an external wastegate, new downpipe(or alter another one), turbo manifold, and ideally a standalone ecu. Also, you will HAVE to get a front mount intercooler with the totally different turbo(it is highly recommended with any turo, but basically has to be done with a much larger turbo). Add in all your fuel mods(pump, injectors, possibly regulator, EMS which I already mentioned, and tuning) and you have spent a good deal of change

yeah you are right......it never ends.....thats my problem. Ill try to fix it all with 800 and end up 2000 poorer with a maxed out credit card. But then again, if you are gonna upgrade, do it right and make sure you have the flexibility to continue upgrading if you want.

well, just got done pulling the turbo out.. everything looks fine, except the turbine wheels and the smaller inlet port on turbine side is wet with oil... there's barely any shaft play... i'm leaning more towards the BNR stage 3 or something equivalent somewhere else... as long as my motor is ok (overheating caused all this).. if i end up needing a motor also... will get a jpec motor n turbo for $750.
