Sigh....

Standard questions apply when asking about a turbo upgrade:

1. How much power do you want to make?

2. What is the primary use of the car?

3. What is your realistic budget?

LOL, that won't even get you the turbo/manifold. Let alone the standalone, fuel, etc. etc.

Come on woot, he didn't make 348WHP @ 12PSI on the stock computer.

OP, this was the cheapest dealer I found when I was buying my GT40R.

Well he didn't state anything he already had now did he Scott? So we're left to assume. And I'm assuming that whatever fuel setup he has now might not even be up to the task of a 40R either.

ATP turbos prices on both the 35r and 40r are more than the website I posted.

Sean, don't get mad at me because your attempt to bash a "noob" was uncalled for.

You spelled my name wrong, it's Shawn. And it was not uncalled for. He gave almost zero info about his question.

you gotta understand that once you cross a certain power level (and 400whp is definitely over the line), the costs increase exponentially.

And BNR stage 4, not a chance. Just because some guy with a 13B-Re pulled it off doesn't mean anybody else will. They're good for mid 300's, maybe high 300's if you're lucky. I'll put it to you this way: my Garret T04S 60-1, which is basically a BNR stage 4 with a much better flowing hotside, made 386rwhp @ 18psi on race fuel. Now if anything, that's kinda low, as the motor was rebuilt using a relatively worn front housing. But when you are talking 400whp, the manifold and boost control starts getting really expensive. I think you need to budget $4000 minimum by the end of the project, if you want to do it with really high quality new parts that will be reliable.

You can also look into Holset or Borg Warner turbos. You really need to start reading through the single turbo forum.

I'm not the OP.

So I am totally thread jacking

Sorry I didn't post my supporting mods
750 primaries
1600 secondaries
Rtek2.1
Walbro 255
Streetport
Greddy Fmic
Koyo rad
Evo bov
3in single drivers side exit exhaust

Now I have ordered the stage 4 BNR but if there's no way I'm going to make my 400whp goal then I really don't want to waste my money.

A friend of mine has a new P trim masterpower t61 that he will sell me for $400.

These are the parts I think I would need to run that turbo (please correct me if I'm wrong)

http://www.rx7store.net/product_p/st...-91%20rx-7.htm

http://www.rx7store.net/product_p/hk...0wastegate.htm
or
http://www.rx7store.net/product_p/ti...0wastegate.htm

or would I get away with a 38 mm

Then what do I do for a downpipe?

The turbo would come with the vband clamp

and where do I get gaskets?

I really don't know too much about upgraded turbo setups, and I will read through the single turbo section more. I have searched and I can only get little pieces of the picture and I cant seem to find a straight answer.

Any help would be appreciated.
