I'd start with getting a T2 motor to put in there..or sell your n/a and buy a turbo 2.

you need the engine(obviously) and everything that is attached to it, the tranny, starter, ECU, driveshaft, rear end(diff and axles). Pretty straight forward......buy a totalled TII and use it as your donor car............if you can't get all the parts in one car then i sugggest getting a TII cuz it will get expensive.

I converted my 87 GXL to turbo over a year an a half ago and everything is fine even with same rotors... I'm not gonna tell you it is easy nor cheap, nor that it is the way others would do it either BUT it is what has been working for me on my daily driven Rx7...

Since I was doing a rebuild I got a hold of TII side housings (Courtesy of my cousin LOL) and used the instead of the 6 ports.

I converted my car to carbureted...

Holley Marine 4010 650Cfm spreadbore
TII Side housings (Optional since RB makes intale manifolds for 6 port also)
Atkins Apex Seals
TII Racing Beat intake Manifold
2 MSD 6AL
2 MSD Blaster2
12A turbo distributor
Turbonetics Blow-thru
Turbonetics Deltagate
HKS Racing Adjustable Blow Off Valve
Walbro Fuel Pump
Aeromotive FPR
Custom Made Turbo Manifold
Schwitzer Tangential TO4-B AR84 P-Trim

That's about all I got in there... I kept my A/C and my Auto tranny LOL!!!

read ArronCakes archive. he did a N/A turbo, thats exactly what im doing right now. itll beat a stock TII anyways, plus its way cheap.im ordering my turbo, IC, and exh. manifold tomarrow for 215 bucks, theres a guy on here BIGTURBO, he has those three items for sale as well for pretty cheap. thats your starting point.

Wouldn't call it way cheap... I've already got intake manifolds, exhaust manifolds, turbo, and 2 out of the injectors I need - I still have over $1k in parts left to go. Cheaper compared to buying a nice TII? Yes. Cheaper than swapping a TII engine? Debatable.
