turbo manifold question!

simple and to the point, I was wondering if it was possible to unbolt the turbo manifold from underneath the car rather then having to remove all uim and lim lol (I know I sound lazy)
from what I can figure with a help of a friend that, it might be possible if the down pipe has room to move or something to that effect (like unbolt the cat first from the exhaust and then the down pipe then remove the turbo manifold)

btw the reason for the removal of the manifold is because the compressor seems to be loose and I want to tighten it back up

thx for any help!

you wont be able to get to the top bolts on the manifold nor will you be able to remove it there just simply isnt enough room to pull it down inbetween the motor and the rail

if i remember right you have to take the turbo off to take of the lim. the clearance in there is way tight. i was able to get the manifold off without taking the turbo off but it was just quicker to pull the turbo off and then the manifold.

this also depends if you still have the stock turbo or an upgrade.

You don't have to take off the intake manifold to remove the turbo, no. You can get to it from the top, but it's a real PITA. Getting under the car helps tremendously. Take the downpipe off too.
