turbo intercooler pipe situation please help
i recently bought a new turbo an s372 and the outlet of the compressor is 3inches, my front mount system is 2.5 inches from turbo to intercooler and fmic to tb. usually people run 2.5 to 3 after intercooler but i cant do that after the intercooler because a 3 inch wont fit (power steering) so what should i do both the inlet and outlet of the intecooler are 2.5, do i just run 3in to the intercooler and 2.5 out? or get a coupler reducer right out the compressor (will that affect performance?

Its the same size? :P
I was browsing on my phone so I didnt research on it
I would go with a 3inch or bigger then :P
3+ inch all the way from turbo to TB.
2.5inch is too small for me for a big turbo like that.
You can either do a custom rerouting of the pipes going under the Powersteering then up to the TB, or lower the power steering by using a FB P/S bracket ( some people have done that), or you can just not run power steering.
Also, how big is your intercooler anyways, the physical size and the pipe size? im just curious.

What is the inner diameter (not outer) of
1) your compressor outlet?
2) your intercooler end tanks?
3) your throttlebody elbow?
The reason I say that is because some piping, turbos, or intercoolers simply have thicker walls for a given inner diameter. Using a digital dial caliper (available at Harbor Freight or Northern Tool) would be best for measuring.

2) i cant remember exactly the measurements of my intercooler i belive it was 25-27W x 14H(i think) x 3inches of depth. the inlet and outlet are 2.5inches
3) i have the intake mani from the fd with tb, using the greddy elbow customized for the 2nd gen ( the size of the inlet of the elbow is 2.75
