All right my friends turbo 2 had some problems starting....so we got some jumpers and started the car....went to oreillys and they said the alt. was chargin up find....we got to his house and less than 2 min....while running died and wont start again...what could be causing this...

Also coolant idiot light going off. should i resolder or replace sensor?

 

Does the car have trouble idling?

About the coolant light going off you might have air in your coolant system causing it to keep beeping. You might have to bleed the coolant system or it could possibly just need resoldering.

 

ok well it has major idling prob....i have to use the e-brake to stop at the lights and stop signs and hold the accel...to keep it alive...also the add coolant buzzer was actually doing its job....he is the a dummy...he didnt have any in...so i unscrewed the air bleeder(which is now broke) and screwed it back in...and added coolant...now its off...but about the other prob....i think its his alt....but we arent for sure yet we gonna get it tested tomorrow

First so the basic thing... to test the alternator its as simple as running the car.. and pulling off the Negative Battery Terminal while idling... if the engine dies then your alternater is dead... also you might wanna get your battery tested...
