turbo II brakes

I have turbo II wheels and brakes on my 88 se base, will a 15'' wheel clear the rotor and calipers? 15'' tires are cheaper, im taking a hit on 16'' rubbers

Thanks

BTW:pm me if your interested in oem s4 t2 wheels. Might sell em might not, convince me.

15 inch will clear the rotors and calipers. 15 inch wheels were offered from the factory on some models such as my vert. Now you just need to make sure the offset will not rub your suspension and thats about it.

Offsets on the 15's and the 16's are the Same...at 40mm,so there should be No problem..Get the BBS Vert wheels, you'll love them, they weigh 12 pounds!

The only issue I have heard about is making sure that you have enough clearance for the caliper. But the only wheels I have seen that have this problem are steel racing wheels, which you probably aren't considering.

I have never noticed a huge difference in price between 15 and 16 inch tires, especially anything in a 50-60 profile.

Clarification: by "clearance" I mean between the face of the caliper and the face of the wheel, not the rim clearance (which should be fine with a 15" wheel).

IMHO, if I was going away from any TII wheels (polished or non-polished, etc.), I'd go for the 'vert (BBS) wheels only.

ok thanks im getting 15'' rota gt3's Black w/polished lip 7or 8'' wide, havent decided 38mm offset, and 15'' tires are a lot cheaper because you have a lot more options, I work at a shop and you can get 195/65/15s for $35 a piece and 205/60/16 (CHEAPEST 16'' SIZE) are still 59-68 depending on speed rating both are for the same tire with the same tread pattern with a 60k warranty. so why get 2 when i can almost get all 4? Im gonna be strechin them 195s and 205s lol

225 /50/15's or 225/50/16's are a good size to Run.
I like the 50's as they have enough Sidewall on the tire and allow the car to Sit on some air..
What I mean is it will be easier to take bumps, potholes better.(we have some nasty roads around here.)
it will still give the car steerability but not sway.
the 195's in My opinion are too narrow.
Don't cheap out on Tires. You are putting your Life on the line with that little patch of rubber hitting the road.
At Least get Decent tires. You will thank me when you have to avoid **** on the road or Brake fast because of a Soccer mom talking on the cell phone, putting on lip stick, drinking a coffee and Changing her kid in the Front seat, suddenly making a U-Turn in front of you!...(what was the subject again?) good luck man.STYX!~
