Does all turbo hoods have the scoop on the center of the hood or are some scoops offsetted on certain TII hoods? Which model year is which?

 

As far as I can tell, they were all in the center right over the intercooler.

 

I think they're all off-centered, placed more towards the driver's side, at least mine is. I believe it's supposed to be right over the intercooler, could be wrong though

 

My friend's 91 TII has the scoop at the center, but I have seen pictures of other TII hood with offsetted scoop toward the driver side. The reason why I want to know is because I'm putting a TII hood on my convertible and want the one with the scoop on the center. If anyone know what year came with which, that would be very helpful. Thanks.

 

mine is offset. as far as I know all of them are....

I think all OEM hoods are offset but the aftermarket ones aren't.

 

I have never seen a hood scoop in the middle. If you want the scoop in the middle you will have to buy an aftermarket one.

 

mine is in the middle, somebody told me i have an aluminum hood, would that make it after market.

Nope aluminim hoods were stock on some cars. Try to get pictures of your scoop I am having a hard time believing it's in the middle.

 

I'm not at my car right now, but I could be wrong. I think I would have noticed if it was off set, but I'll see. Let you guys know in a few.

 

Yeah - I didn't notice it till someone pointed it out. It's about 2 inches to the left (US drivers side).

 

it is offset. you guys know your stuff. Never really noticed.
