turbo glows red under normal driving? not bight just enough to see in the dark

i got done driving 11 miles and pull in at home and poppedthe hood and the turbo was faintly glowing red im mean youd never see it in the daytime. i never boosted once or even revd over 4k (break in period). ihave a cruising issue with a/f ratio going leanish but i can avoid it by gassing or letting off alittle. is this normalfor a turbo to glow during normal driving situations?

If it bugs you a lot - check your timing. Too much retard will do the same thing.

the stock xhaust hot side is really small and will heat up a lot. it could also be your timming. thats why you gotta let it cool down when you get home.
