Turbo Fire

Straight to the point: what are my options as to changing/replacing an oil feed line?

Story below-

I was driving to school this morning, engine temps suddenly shot up, pulled over, grabbed the gallon of water stashed behind the passenger seat, popped the hood, radiator cap was on its side and there was fire comming from around the turbo.

Later, I found that the fire was comming from the turbo oil feed line fitting. Not on the turbo, but before the turbo... right under the intake manifold.

You mean the metal oil line?? I would think that the tightening bolt on the fitting is either loose ot the threads are bad. I've never seen that fitting just fail unless someone busted the threads.

I would get the appropriate metric to AN fittings for the feed on the front cover, and then fab up a braided stainless/AN line to go to the turbo. For the feed flange on the turbo, you can use Russel's -10 AN T3 turbo drain flange. Then you just need a -10 to -whatever adapter to connect it to your feed line (likely -6).

Yep, that's the way to go, you'll need to do that anyway if you upgrade your turbo.
