turbo/exhaust removal?

I've been trying to get my motor out over the last week, now... You can see my progress here: https://www.rx7club.com/forum/showth...5&pagenumber=1

Anyways, I've been having a hell of a time removing the heatshield and exhaust. I've got almost everything else off the car this far, that's all that's left. Anyone have any tips?

Soak it with penetrating oil for a day or two. My heatshield got all bent up and **** when I was trying to take it off (put too much torque on the rachet, twisted the heatshield mounts). Just use a lot of force, it will all come off. One thing I suggest is replacing all the bolts, nuts and **** before you put it back together. They are old and have been exposed to a lot of heat.

Having a problem with pc in work, couldn't open the link, but if exhaust disconnected at "Y" pipe, lower the back of the engine to get better access to heat shield nuts. lots of spray/liquid wrench etc.
