yeah trannys always go on these cars. You can usually pick up a lower mileage jspec for around 300. I actually would like to grab a newer one.

i belive he was asking if you were rev matching like you are suposed to. Matching the engines speed the gear you are about to shift down to. If you do not do that, your syncros will be doing all the work, and that is not a good thing.

If it were me i'd make the guy do a nice 60k mile tune up before i bought it. Change all oils and belts, bleed lines and see if there's anything funny after that. Hopefully that'll at least take care of some of the lights. If it's low on oil it could possibly make the light come on when you make a turn, but this is all just speculation. How much is it going for?

The buzzer that sounds when you turn (hard) is probably the low oil level warning. Check the oil and see if it's low.

1. it might be your diff. making a slight whiiiiiirrr sound.
2. the buzzer could be 1 of 2 things
----a. the add coolant buzzer
----b. low oil(comes on when there is about 2 qts. left.
----c. make it a habit to revmatch when you downshift and use the brakes too.

3. you should not be able to hear a stock turbo spool...at least not loud...

make sure you get a comprssion test before you hand the money order and look for the signs of a blown coolant seal.
