Tuning The HKS PFC F-CON

How do I tune it? My car is an 88 TII and came with the FCON but I want to know how I tune it? It did not bring the manual and has no dials or buttons (atleast not visible) How far can I go with it vefore upgrading to safc or standalone?

the P-Fcon is not adjustable by simple means of ***** and dials. Its all preprogrammed circuittry designed to optimize your stock fuel map. it allows the engine to run richer for higher boost levels on the stock turbo. Its only good for stock injectors and stock turbo. You can get it retuned for a more powerful setup but that would require you to send the unit into HKS or anyone else that knows how to tune these and reprogram the software for your new setup.

He was using hks' full standalone f-con. I believe its called the v-pro. A much more powerful ems than the piggyback f-con we have here in the states.

The GCC gives some ability to tune fuel. There is also a dial inside your f-con but I'm not sure if that is something you want to mess with. I wanna say it is a very broad adjustment.

The adjustment on the FCON will lean out or richen the entire range of the car so if it runs without problems I certainly wouldn't start messing with it. The FCON is a great piece for the following setup:

-stock injectors
-stock turbo
-upgraded fuel pump
-FMIC
-ported wastgate, 10-11 psi
-turboback exhaust, TID

If you can find a used one at a good price - even used they go for around $400-500 and often don't include the FCD. An SAFC is generally a better buy but some people love the FCONs.
