trying to install a sony xplode radio but confuse

well i checked the wire color on the faq these are it:
LTBlue/Red= 12v+
LtBlue/White= +Accessory
LtBlue/Yellow= -power ant trigger
Red/Black=+ Lumination
White=Factory Amp Turn on

Ground to the body, use the 10mm bolt behind the center console front drivers access panel. Do not use the Red/Black as ground it will damage the interior light circuit and dimmer in the car

Front Speakers (maximum of a 15 watt peak from the radio):
LtGreen/Red= Left
LtGreen/Black= Left

LtGreen= Right
LtGreen/Yellow=Right

but seems like the owner before me messed up the wires
but the green colors on my S5 are diffrent
i have a yellow cable with a green stripe
and a dark green

if this is confusing just write the color of the wires and what there for
this will help me a lot thanks

why not just buy the harness for the aftermarket radio for the RX7... it'll be easier...

good luck, i just fried a $150 cd player tryin to hook mine up, cause somethins wrong... i hooked every wire up as described in the FAQ, and on Install DR.com.... more than triple checked, everything was hooked up perfectly (except the power antenna cause i dont even want it, dont listen to radio), ....still wouldnt power on...

a buddy recommended i ground it to the - terminal on the battery, cause he thought the ground wasnt good enough...

well when i tried that, it smoked like a campfire, and im now cd-playerless and $150 lighter in the wallet...

I bought a Sony Xplod radio and Xplod speakers on Ebay and had the local Best Buy install it. Professional job done at a very reasonable price and no hassle trying to do it myself.

the harness for the xplod stereo has a black ground wire, so you ground it exactly how it says to in the faq's to that 10 mm bolt. if you can't find that bold unscrew the little panel on the drivers side next to the center console, move a bit of carpeting and it should be chillin right there

o.k. tey told me that since this has lots of amplifiers tht my New stereo would not get it so i have to directly make the wires go to the new stereo instead of the amp and then the stereo
i guess im just gonna do it to the speakers on the door because everything seems O.k. as is

o and one more thing the new stereo seems to get hot when its on

Something's not connected right if you are lossing power... Maybe a fuse but there shouldnt be a reason for the radio going out. Anyway I have the entire wireharness diagram for the S5. It's in PDF format so I can email it to you. I just rewired my system in my FC bypassing all the factory amps because they were just a pain in the ***. Anyway it's not that difficult... Actually...Yes I do have the diagrams here. Check these connections:

Front Left
-Door- Light Green/Red(+), Light Green/White(-)
-Dash- Green/Red(+), Green/Blue(-)

Front Right
-Door- Light Green(+), Light Green/Yellow(-)
-Dash- Yellow/Green(+),Yellow/Blue(-)

Rear Left
Brown(+),Brown/White(-)
Rear Right
Blue(+), Blue/Orange(-)

Anyway any other questions feel free to email me darius.xerxes@gmail.com

check your cd players ground and power wire it should read around 11.3 at the lowest and around 12.6 when the altenator kicks on i bet u got a bad ground or power source.. making your cd player overheat and shut down or sound bad when u turn it up

another thing if you dont have the + and - hooked up on all your speakers right it will lack bass and wont sound as good. u can use that battery trick to double check them hook the + wire and - to the + and - on the double a battery and the speaker cone should pop outwards

another thing to check for turn on the headunit with the engine running turn up the sound with nothing playn and listen for engine whine when u rev the engine
if u here noise check your grounds and or run you signal lines and power wires further apart

a there should be 1 lightblue wire 1 light blue with a white stripe those are the automatic antenna and amp turn on leads both are 12volt but low amperage

if your talkn about the blue and red wire about a 8 guage size under the dash thats the 12volt line thats always hot
