is it true you cant throw flames with the RB cat back
k guys i read that a LONG time ago and cannot find the thread... pretty much ill have a RB header/collector into a test pipe into a cat back system... i like the RP 50mm exhaust mostly because of the flamage and price... but if the RB can still throw flames i would go with that for a couple of hundred more... so is it true can you throw flames with that setup... please dont "flame" pun intended im trying to find out some info before i order my exhaust next week
thanks in advance

I dont know why you couldn't.... The main flame killer is a cataltyic converter, not a mufler. Though bafled muflers might impede it a small bit, I still can shoot flames with my flowmaster 40 which is baffled (i think).
or you coudl take a look at my post about the 5 speed manual conversion. there is a pic that is prime for flame throwing. LOL scared the hell out of my mom one day when i told her to stand behind the liscence plate and look at the exhaust.

Matt, also there is a good thread out there with videos of what you're looking for, do a search for exhaust clips i think and you'll find it. some pretty fun movies are on that thread.

YOU ALL READ HIS QUESTION WRONG.
I responded to his question. IT IS NOT TRUE THAT YOU CAN'T SHOOT FLAMES. I MYSELF HAVE RB MUFFLERS. I HAVE SHOT FLAMES A BAZILLION TIMES.

Just curious as to why "shooting flames' would be a consideration when choosing mufflers????
Before I set the decel cut on the haltech, my car farted fire a bit too much for my liking and i have RB mufflers!!

I will also confirm. I have Racing Beat's header, pre-silenced, and cat-back. With a fuel map that has been leaned out by my S-AFC I still spit flames, ESPECIALLY if I lay it on the fuel cut in a drift, I've been told it is a spectacle to be seen.
