True Fuel Cut for NA S5: 8720RPM!!
Yo,
Well, at least that's what my new S-AFCII says!! *grin*
I always thought it was 8500RPM. Since I was messing with the S-AFCII and saw the data hold on the RPM monitor...might as well see how high it'll spin.
I was in second gear and took it to rev limit. Checked the S-AFCII and it said: 8720RPM.
Woot!
I also noticed that my tachometer doesn't agree with the S-AFCII. The stock tach reads about 500rpm higher. I don't know which one is right.
Oh well, thought I'd share. I will be dyno tuning the S-AFCII in about a week. I will let you guys know what I put down.

Yo,
Santiago, no problem. I'll be installing the Checkpoint CAI this week, so hopefully that will help some.
Looks like Rotary Racer can hook me up with some dyno time...like unlimited. Woot! So we will do baseline pulls to see how much the true dual exhaust helped out, along with with all the porting of the intake manifolds, pineapple sleeves.
Last run I did I put about 140RWHP down. The car ran really rich up in the top RPM range, so leaning down with the S-AFCII will help to squeeze some more HP up top.
I don't want to get my hopes too far up, the dyno is a BITCH. You think you'll do good and she just smacks you upside the head.
We'll see.

UNLIMITED DYNO TIME
Man down here the guy keeps raising his price first it was 50 bucks then 75 then he said 125 for 12 Runs.
Hopefully you break out of the 150whp range. It would suck if you didn't with all that stuff you have put on there.
Santiago
EDIT don't forget to have a wideband on hand. Don't want you to get ping.

Yo,
Yeah, we (Rotary Racer <Dana>) will be at a shop that has a dynojet and a wideband.
We will probably shoot for something relatively safe like 13:1 or maybe 13.5:1. I read PP13BNOS went to 14.25:1...but he's crazy.
Here are my hopeful numbers: without S-AFCII tuning: 152RWHP. With tuning: 165RWHP.
I know, pie in the sky. Get a turbo, blah blah blah. I can dream, can't I?!
Heh.

Geeee the install on the S-AFCII was so clean who did that . I just e-mailed my dyno hook up I will let you know how that flows.
If I ever get my car running I will have to pick up one of those to dial my car in.
