Trouble Codes

I've seen how to get the trouble codes via the check engine light in the automotive repair manual, but I can't find it now, does anyone know the proceedure? or the page #? It's the '86-'91 guide, I have a '86 rex.
Thanks!

No engine check lite on 86-88. Also you can use the same assy for checking the tps.

Also, you can use those lights to set your TPS (which was the only method that worked for me). Very worth it.
