Tricky question on S5 TII secondary air bleeds. See if you can get the answer

OK. I am searching out some answers for an S5 TII JDM secondary air bleed problem. I have the UIM off and I am checking to make sure that all of the vacuum nipples are clear and in order. On the S5 LIM, there is a front secondary air bleed that goes from behind the front secondary injector to the rear secondary injector. It then "passes" through the LIM and comes out the back to be connected to the back of the UIM.

When I blow air through the rear air bleed it comes out the rear nipple. When I try to get air through the front one, I can't suck or blow air through it. It seems to line up directly with the fuel diffuser directly under the front injector. Should air be able to pass through this nipple. Everything in the UIM and LIM are very very clean.

Here is a hint (perhaps). I replaced the fuel diffusers with ones off of my NA because I broke the ones that came with the turbo. Are the NA diffusers different than the turbo? Is there supposed to be a hole in the side of the diffuser to allow air to pass?

Come on Gurus!

Compare them in the link above. Different.

Remove the non performer and then blow into the air bleed feed nipple. I'd bet you get air in the injector bore now.

Never mind me. Series four turbo and non turbo secondary air bleeds are..................the same. duh

Swap the two secondary and see how things go. Piece of cake.

I have a series 5. What do you mean switch the two? The primary and secondary difusers are different on the series 5

Probably just ignore me all together. I'm trying to write and chew gum at the same time.

I meant swap the two secondary air bleeds with each other. I assumed we were only talking about the secondary air bleeds. Yes, there's a diff in the non turbo and Turbo primary air bleeds.

If you blow into a air bleed feed nipple, then air should come out the injector bore where the air bleeds are.

Sorry. I've been scewing up a couple of threads today. Gotta spit that gum out and just type.

OK Got it. The front secondary air bleed nipple feeds into a slot on the side of the diffuser. In that slot, ther is a tiny (and I mean tiny) hole. I took a SMALL needle and cleared the hole out and thoroughly cleaned the slot. All is good. of course when I took the other one out, the darn brittle plastic broke. So, after I get a new diffuser from Mazdatrix, I should be good to go. Thanks Hailers
