Tranzmission does not shift wile car is moving ?

I can shift the car wile stationary but once the car starts rolling I cannot shift at all in any gear!!! This happend to me before after I put in a clutch but my old meckanic just charged me for a new tranz ( ripped off ) So soemthing telz me its not the tranz again (never was) but the same symptoms.

Is the input shaft not alinged? I used an alingment tool when putting in PP and FD... The tranz sliped in fine ?

it would have to be internal to the transmission. i am guessing its the sleeve that makes up the 1-2 synchro is getting bounded up on the hub coming off the blocking ring. i doubt you can start in 3rd gear to test if it will shift out while moving.

input shaft has to be aligned since it is supported by the front bearing and the mainshaft, along with the pilot bearing in the flywheel. basicly ir is supported on both ends and the middle

I started my T2 in 3rd once just for the hell of it. It can be done if you're prepared to rev high and do mean things to your clutch.

I had this exact problem. Its the master and slave clutch cylinder. I **** you not. I was driving back to my dorm and I went to turn onto another road and I shifted down, I went out of fourth and then i tried to go into third and nothing. I was stuck in neutral. I had to shut the car off. put it in first, turn on the car then go to the nearest car place. Had to get it towed to a place to get it fixed. Could have done it for 150 bucks parts but hey I fear for this car when I get near it with a wrench lol. Anyway that sounds EXACTLY what happened to me.
