transmission questions.

Ive decided to do this instead of an exhsuast that will come after.Ok ive already done the search and burned the auto to 5sp thread on a disk but i want to make sure of all the parts im going to need, plus this recking yard has a five speed so im going to get the parts from there. any how does this sound?

Transmission
New clucth(what type)
Driveshaft
Transmission mounts (custom, were can i get them does anyone make them?)
Shifter and all little bolts and screws
New clucth cylinder
Clutch lines
Slave cylinder(new)
Speedometer and tach
Clutch pedal(all little hardware )

Ok now since the speedo goes to 160 is that going to mess up my speed?
And im going to have to remove the exshaust, But i can get the tranny out if i put the car on jacks right?Ive replaced the clutch in my hyundai but its front wheel drive and im just nervious about this. but can you guys give me some words of advice if you have done it before.Ill be back on here as i get through it.Oh and one more thing i just thought of,the clutch fluid lines are going to go in with no problem or am i going to have to fab it alittle?Thanxs

Dustin,

I would just get a stock replacement clutch. You don't really need an ACT or anything for an N/A.

Transmission mounts? I guess the transmission you're buying doesn't come with them attached. Just find someone on the forum to sell you some.

Very quick top of my head list.
1) Parking brake
2) Remove the shifter
3) Jack up the car (put it on stands...)
4) Remove the exhaust
5) Unhook ALL wiring
6) Remove the tranny (I would suggest a tranny jack because the automatic transmission is heavy)
7) Take off the clutch related stuff...

Someone told me you have to fabricate manual transmission mounts to work in place of an auto.
