transmission question

this may be a ridiculous question, but u have checked everywhere on my car and all threads related and cant find an answer. so: where is the manual transmission oil level checker? how do i check if its empty, and if so, how do i fill? thx

you need to get your hands on the manual, I believe there are four plugs in the side. The uppermost plug you fill through. The upper middle plug more towards the rear is the level it should reach. I cant really describe without a pic. I believe you can download the Factory service manual for free but i got mine on ebay for like $5

i just open the fill plug which is located on the driver's side of the transmission, it has a square butt and is near some wires (at least in my car). after i open it i feel inside to see if theres any tranny oil that i can feel, if not just add some more or i would change it out to some good fluid.

Make sure the car is level when you check or fill it.
Just take the fill plug off the side of the tranny and stick your finger in there. There should be fluid right up to the bottom of the hole.
