Transmission question
I have a question for you guys who've pulled engines without the transmission, how did you hold the tranny in place? Did you use hangers or did you use a floor jack or what? I'm asking because I saw the project 87 T2 on the rx7club main page (https://www.rx7club.com) and i noticed the tranny was sitting there and it didn't look like anything was under it. I'm wondering how it is being held in place?

Ahh, i figured it'd be a tad bit too heavy so I didn't want to chance hanging it there, so i had it sitting on a couple blocks of wood for the moment and I would like to hang it somewhere so I can push the car around without it whacking into something. (This is a T2 tranny, is that too heavy?)
You dont plan to install that engine the hard way, with the tranny in the car, do you? Its MUCH easier to pull them both and isntall them both at once. The rotary only weighs 200lb and the tranny 100 so thats not alot of stres, even for a 2x4 a-frame adn a comealong which is what I use for all my engine swaps in my basement.
Other than that, just to roll the car around, use some old wire or something under the bellhousing to support the tranny, just so the drivceshaft wont runb the frame, but it wouldnt hurt anyting if it did.

I have a 3ton hoist, i'm not worried about weight
I just wanted to stick the tranny back in so it's not sitting on my floor for now, too much stuff is on my floor!
