NY transmission problem

my 7 sat for about 7 months, i finally put the new water pump housing.thermostat and coolant and an oil change. it started up and ran fine with a little rough idle. figured i need new plugs and a tune up, i drove the car 1 block it shifted fine at first but then i pressed the clutch and a loud grind like if you shift bad and a pop sound was heard, now i cant get into any gear. what could be wrong? im thinking maybe my slave cyclinder any other ideas? car is in neutral and i can still get it to start. thanks

check your clutch master cylinder(fluid level, leaks, or etc) and does the clutch stick to the floor or slowly retract?

maybe something wrong with the master cylinder then... you say it comes back slowly? as in after you floor the clutch pedal and lift your foot off. the pedal comes out slowly? or as your foot comes back so does the clutch pedal.

yea when i take my foot off the pedal it slowly rises back up. also when i press the pedal it just hits the ground there's no resistance.
