hie, just got an '88 fc convertible (5-speed manual) and it has problems with the transmission. I can get the car started with a jumpstart (battery is dead), and when you try to shift it, it doesn't get into gear because the car won't move. I'm not sure if I would need a new transmission or maybe a new clutch, so I need help there. I don't want to have to take it to a rotary specialist and have to pay for towing and everything pus extra fees. so basically the engine seems fine, but the car won't move. If anybody can help me out, I would REALLY appreciate it. Thanks.

 

if it wont go into gears,its probably hydrolic related, or clutch related, have someone check and see if hte slave clynader is moving when u push the clutch
