Transmission Mounting

Anyone ever replace the saddle bushing in the crossmember that holds the tailend of the tranny? This is on an 87 TII. I've looked for just the bushing, but can only find the crossmember assembly. You would think the bushing would be offered seperately, but I guess this is just another marketing ploy. Any help would be appreciated. And yes, I am replacing the "Y" blocks.

The y blocks are what support the weight. I ran into the same problems a few months ago.

This being the RX-7 list, yes, we have been there before. I also couldn't get the bushing by itself. You have to get the crossmember. BTW, I believe the busing is pressed in. Find the parts fiche in my links below and you won't find a part number for just the center busing.

I've not seen the bushing offered independently. The crossmember is not absurdly expensive at Mazdatrix, but the dealer price is insane.

Tranny mount

Yeah, guess I'll just have to order one up and be done with it. Thanx for the feed back.
