Transmission Leak

I have no idea where it's coming from. I changed the fluid in the tranny while it was out of the car, and come to find out, it was accidentally overfilled. So originally, I had thought the the leak was just from the overfill, and it would drip out until it was at the normal level.
Well, after I broke in the motor, i swapped the fluid out again with some Redline. This time, I did it correctly and made sure i filled it to the correct level. I thought that I would no longer have a leaky transmission. I was wrong. It leaks just the same. It is a slow steady drip that looks like it starts at the top of the tranny and makes its way to the underneath, but it's very hard to tell where its coming from. And it only leaks when the car is running

Does anyone know of this or know what I should do to remedy the leak?

If the leak appears to come from the top of the transmission, it could be the joint between the Change Control Case and the Extension Housing (see the image). There is oil in the Change Control Case that is separate from the main transmission case, and the joint where the two are connected could be the leak source. Unfortunately, I think you would have to remove the tranny in order to fix that. Try to see if the oil that is leaking is different from the Redline oil you just put in the main transmission case. If it is, then the leak is very likely from that joint.

I have a similar problem with a small leak that leaves a spot about 3" on the garage floor when the car sits for a few days. I suspect that's where my leak is from but I haven't confirmed it yet. I HAVE confirmed that there is no drop in the main transmission case oil level, so a little spot here and there is not reason enough to drop the tranny (for me at least).
