Transmission drain plug size?

Have an '88 vert with 5 speed, anybody know what size socket, its bigger than 22mm which is the biggest I have. Looks like about 7/8 of an inch. Got the fill plug off, that's much smaller.

How about the rear end fluid, any suprises for me there with big sockets?

Thanks

For FC, please provide square drain plug size in mm, so I can remove it with square socket.

14mm open end wrench works, or it should if the person before you didn't torque it to 10,000lbs feet
