I'm not a tranny/gear ratio guru, so I thought I would ask my question here. The following should be correct specs for the Turbo II and RX-8 trannies:

Turbo II

First gear: 3.43
Second gear: 2.01
Third gear: 1.39
Fourth gear: 1.00
Fifth gear: 0.71

RX-8

First gear: 3.76
Second gear: 2.27
Third gear: 1.65
Fourth gear: 1.19
Fifth gear: 1.00
Sixth gear: 0.84

Now, if I understand correctly, the RX-8 tranny will offer quicker acceleration throughout the gears, but poorer gas mileage in sixth gear, right? So, if that's assumption is correct, does anybody have any idea how many ponies the RX-8 tranny can handle?
