If the clutch allighnment tool fits - then you can probably get the tranny stabbed easily enough.

I have stab transmissions at my house the hard way: on my back with them resting on my knees...

I find that if you can get a bolt or two just started, you can use them to suck the tranny to the engine if you take your time and slowly tighten the bolts.

you have to slightly angle the motor... if i remember correctly you have to find a way to have the engine angle downwards.. by doing that you would have the correct angle to slide it in. I think i had used blocks of wood and a jack on the main pully.... hope that helps in anyway

I swapped an S5 5spd into my S4 automatic GXL when I was seventeen, the hard way, with it on my knee and chest, the jack was occupied at the front, with a block of wood to angle the motor down towards the rear of the car.

Just like they mentioned, if the pilot tool goes in and our cleanly and everything was bolted down it should go in, unless, maybe like you were wondering there is something we don't know about, and I'm not personally familar with a 13b-re

I used a crowbar to angle the engine down a bit so it lined up.
