Transmission

Well, my transmission seems kinda messed up. I think it just needs a rebuild. Is it cheaper to get it rebuilt, or to just go buy a new / newer one? Where can I find new / newer transmissions?

well I dont know so much about the Rex. But I have had to replace the tranni in 4 of my vehicals. And well, it really depends on how bad its messed up. If non of the hard parts in the tranni have grinded away then it shouldn't be to bad to have it re-built. But most of mine it was not alwase cheaper but I thought better to get a used tranni that someone rebuilt and then for the most part its on waranty. Just my 2 bits. Whats it doing anyway? Slipping/clunking what?

yea

Nothing really bad. 3rd gear syncho's are going. Not really a whole lot else happening...

I just don't want to worry about anything breaking down the line.

3rd gear feels a little weird, but nothing major.

Oh, well then just re-do the synch. I meen it would suck if a peice broke off and starting ratteling around inside, I dont figure that would be so great.

will do

Thanks. I will call my local transmission shop and see how much it would cost for a rebuild. And also just to replace the syncho.
