trans seals

trans seals

my transmission is leaking in a couple spots so i took it out, now i want to know if theres anything else besides seals that i should change. the gears shift fine but once in a great while 5th will grind

If you're going to pull the entire gearbox apart, you might as well replace the 5th gear synchro ring. You can get at it fairly easily, since it is the closest one to the rear of the tranmission. It's not the same as on an FC NA transmission, but the layout is very similar.
