Start by changing your transmission oil. Put in a good synthetic. The rumbling is normally a sign of failing cluster shaft bearings. But you could just be low on oil.

For the guy that has noise at idle you probably have a bad trans input bearing since the pilot bearing and throwout bearing don't spin with your foot off the clutch.

Finally someone other than me understands this.
The noise is your transmission input shaft bearing. IT won't be fixed with a TOB or pilot bearing.

Holy hell, didn't I say that in post #3?
Clearly, anyone who blames this problem on pilot or throwout bearing has no clue how the transmission or clutch system works...

how the **** could this be throw out bearing?
this is exactly the kind of retardness in this forum.
holy ****, someone asks a question, and you have the right answer, and then you have some dumbfuck talking about somethign completely different and make 10 post about how it could be what he said.
just like the 4th gear vs 5th gear for cruising in the freeway
god ******* damn

get ready to buy a new tranny, my car started doing it in first then worked it's way to second then 3rd then 4th then 5th so i parked the car and pulled the tranny out of my parts car and when i went to pull it into the garage to switch tranny's i let off the clutch kinda hard and heard a little snap then my drivetrain was locked and we had to drag it in on jacks, when we dropped the tranny out of the car the shaft was locked up solid and this was about 5000 miles after switching over to REDLINE synthetic mtf . I did the rearend fluid at the same time and it's still perfect!!!
